Weapon Charms are tools that can be applied to every Decorated and Festivizable weapon, as long as the weapon isn't already modified with a Charm or Festivizer. These are intended to be a side grade or a bonus drop from War Paint Cases.

Ever since the release of the Stat Clock and War Paints, unsatisfied players have craved, “I want more stimulation for both my left and right eye!” Of course, we (the community) can’t actually add anything to the game to mend this crisis, but in this hypothetical, fantasy setting, what could we do about it? In a moment of desperation, we looked in our backpacks for ideas. Hats are able to dangle, clothes are able to dangle, you know what can’t dangle? Your gun! Introducing, Charms! A new community-created way to customize your weapon and provide maximum stimulation for both of your eyes!

Interested in creating some Weapon Charms yourself? Well, you’re in luck because we have created the Weapon Charms Kit! This is a modding pack used for setting up and testing your own Weapon Charm models in TF2.

If you have any questions or need more information, you can join our discord server where we provide extra resources and information to help in creating your next Weapon Charm. Plus, you get to talk to other contributors working on the project!

Q. How big in size do these charms need to be?

Realistically they can be as big as they want, however we wouldn’t recommend anything bigger than the example charm size given due to clipping with inspect and standing animations.

Q. How big in scope do these charms need to be?

The scope can be as large or small as you want - whether you want it to be a simple keychain & pineapple, or a completely unique idea such as no keychain, there’s no limit as to what you’re allowed to do as long as it’s within the TF2 Workshop Importer confines.

Q. Do I need to credit you or give you revenue for my charm?
Not at all! This project is entirely open source, there is zero need or expectation to credit us in any form, shape, or way on your own project. We want people to be able to make anything they want with zero expectation as to what they owe when they’ve finished.

Q. How can I make my own charm or concept one and have someone else make it?

It’s as simple as drawing up your own charm and posting the concept in our discord server! There’s no expectations for art quality or type of charm as this has never been done before - go wild! Just make sure you make original concept art and DON'T use other people's images for your post!

Introducing the Weapon Charms Collection! This a collection of Charms made by community members on the Steam Workshop. Anyone can make a Charm, and it’s a great entry-level cosmetic to learn the basics of adding workshop items to the game!
